ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK

Itinerary &
Bookings

The Zambezi National Park:

The Zambezi National Park is a 56 000 hectare park and is renowned for its herds of sable antelope, elephant, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, and many other antelope species. It is also famous for the lion prides that prowl the area. Here the grassy floodplain runs up to a series of steeply sloping hills, as the river runs through the dramatic scenery which inspired David Livingstone during his original historic journey into the heart of Africa.

Forty kilometers of this vast area are found along the banks of the Zambezi river. Crocodiles and hippo can be found in the waters of the Zambezi river. The best ways to see the magnificence of one of Zimbabwe's biggest game parks is from horse-back, going on a game drive or hiking through the natural wilderness.

There are a variety of River Cruises on the Zambezi river above the falls. Sedate Canoeing Safaris on the river above the falls are also available.

Game Drives in the National Park can be booked. If you prefer to see game from horseback, an excellent way to view game, this can also be arranged for you in Victoria Falls.

For the not so faint hearted there is White Water Rafting down one of the most exciting stretches of river in the world, is done below the falls through the Zambezi Gorge.

The world's highest Bungi Jump off the railway bridge into the Zambezi Gorge is also available.

Other activities include: Microlighting, Fishing, Kayaking, Picnics on Livingstone Island.

Bushways Safaris has been touring in the area for a long time and we will be able to best advise you what to see and do in the Zambezi National Park.
